New Contingent

Privacy policy

How New Contingent handles personal data, under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law and the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Last updated: September 2026.

Who controls the data

New Contingent is the controller of personal data collected through newcontingent.online. Requests relating to personal data are handled by email at support@newcontingent.online, which is the only contact channel operated.

What is collected

Correspondence

The email address a message is sent from, together with the content of that message and any information included in it voluntarily.

Purchase records

Where material is bought, the payment is processed by a third-party payment provider. New Contingent receives the transaction record, the billing email address and the status of the payment. Full card numbers are never received or stored by New Contingent.

Technical data

Standard information generated by a web request, including IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, pages requested, and the referring address.

Analytics and advertising technologies

This site uses analytics tools and advertising measurement technologies, including tags supplied by advertising platforms, to understand how pages are reached and how advertising performs. These technologies set identifiers in the browser and may transmit event data to the platforms concerned, which act as independent controllers for their own purposes under their own policies.

Legal bases

Under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law 13,709/2018), processing relies on consent, on the performance of a contract, on compliance with a legal obligation, and on legitimate interests, according to the purpose in question. Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the corresponding bases are Article 6(1)(a), 6(1)(b), 6(1)(c) and 6(1)(f). Analytics and advertising technologies that are not strictly necessary rely on consent where consent is required by the applicable law.

Purposes

  • Answering correspondence and providing access to material that has been bought.
  • Processing payments, refunds and payment disputes.
  • Keeping the records required by tax and commercial law.
  • Measuring how the site is used and how advertising performs.
  • Protecting the site against abuse and fraudulent access.

Retention

Correspondence is kept for up to two years from the last message unless a longer period is required for a dispute or a legal obligation. Transaction records are kept for the period required by Brazilian tax and commercial legislation, which is generally five years. Technical and analytics data is kept in identifiable form for up to fourteen months and in aggregate form thereafter. Data no longer needed for a stated purpose is deleted or anonymised.

Sharing

Personal data is shared only with the service providers required to run the site and the business: hosting and content delivery, email delivery, payment processing, and analytics and advertising platforms. Data is not sold. It is disclosed to an authority only where a legal obligation or a valid legal process requires it.

International transfer

Servers and service providers used by this site are located outside Brazil and may be located outside the European Economic Area. Transfers are made on the bases permitted by Article 33 of the Brazilian General Data Protection Law and by Chapter V of the General Data Protection Regulation, including standard contractual clauses and adequacy decisions where these apply.

Rights

Data subjects have the rights set out in Article 18 of the Brazilian General Data Protection Law and in Articles 15 to 22 of the General Data Protection Regulation. These include confirmation of processing, access, correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, anonymisation, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data, portability, information about sharing, withdrawal of consent, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests.

Requests are made by email to support@newcontingent.online and are answered within the time limits set by the applicable law. Enough information to identify the records concerned may be requested before a change is made, in order to avoid disclosing data to the wrong person.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies and comparable browser storage are used for basic site function, for analytics and for advertising measurement. Browser settings can be used to block or delete cookies, and advertising platforms provide their own controls for advertising-related identifiers. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site behave.

Children

This site is not directed at anyone under the age of 18 and does not knowingly collect data from children. Where data belonging to a child is identified, it is deleted.

Complaints

A complaint may be made to the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD). Data subjects in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom may complain to their national supervisory authority. Raising a complaint directly by email first is welcome but is not a condition of exercising any right.

Changes

This policy may be updated. The date at the top records the most recent revision, and material changes are reflected there.
